Introduction

The Purchaser is responsible for managing shelf quantity, daily purchase demand, stock handling, checking and reporting to pharmacist

Responsibilities

• Daily gathering of purchase demand

• Purchasing on the basis of demand

• Managing shelf quantity of all items

• Weekly internal audit of all stock

• Maintenance of N/A register

• Stock allocation on the basis of FIFO/ LIFO

• Return/ replacement of expiry stock

• Checking of supply as per purchase order

• Placing purchase order after verification of pharmacist

• Stock in hand, checking & reporting to pharmacist

• Any other as directed by pharmacist

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum matric

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the relevant field/ retail pharmacy

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Communication Skills

• Good Microsoft office skills
